How was everyone's week? It's been a very busy (and COLD) one here at PhotoJoseph Studios. There was always something to be doing, even if we were going LIVE or not. So, in the theme of the week: Let's dive right in! We started off on Monday with a quick guide to setting up your LUMIX camera's touch screen for autofocus-point control. It's a helpful feature, but there's the potential for it to become "nose-tip autofocus". Moving on to Wednesday, Joseph compared the GH5 to the new G9. If you are having trouble deciding which of the two is better for you, I highly suggest watching this one before throwing down the money. And finally, on Friday, we invited an Ashland local model, Jakari (Instagram: tshirt.god), to help us demonstrate the effectiveness of the FJ Westcott Eyelighter.

We hope everyone has a great weekend! You can catch us on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:30am PT for the LIVE Photo Moments.

LUMIX cameras can turn the touch screen into a "trackpad" so you can touch-to-focus and control the Autofocus point while looking through the viewfinder. PhotoJoseph is going to show you how to set it up and how it works!

So you bought a GH5 and now the G9 is out, and you're wondering if you should trade in / upgrade. If you're a serious stills shooter, it's a serious question to consider. Or you're now in the market, and trying to decide which to get. GH5 vs G9?
Let's have a look at the Westcott Eyelighter reflective panel. It's perfect for portrait lighting, and especially helps light the eyes and chin area. We've brought in a model, Jakari, to show off how well it works, and to show the differences with and without!

But Wait! There's Something Else!

One of the things that kept us busy (off camera) this week was setting up and rolling-out a whole new Instagram Account for the Photo Moment show. You will find show announcements, behind the scenes shots/videos, vague teasers for future shows, and anything else we can think of to bring you even more moments to learn from (or laugh at… or both). So head on over and click that follow button!
