It's not even Halloween yet, and there's snow on top of the local mountains… while it was in the high 70s just a few days ago. Looks like it's a regular Autumn here in Southern Oregon. Well, that's another week done with another batch of PhotoJoseph's Photo Moments delivered straight to you. Monday's show was a Q&A, all thanks to questions submitted from our amazing viewers? Was your question answered on the show? (You can always ask a question by posting a comment on YouTube, Facebook, or by joining us for the live broadcast). On Tuesday, we released a pre-recorded and edited show on a product photography shoot Joseph did for a client. Incidentally, that video somehow got caught by YouTube's demonetizer bot/algorithm for a day, (Our best guess is because of the pills). It's all fixed now, but YouTube definitely needs to fix what gets caught in it's net. Moving on to Wednesday, Joseph showed us how to use High Speed Sync to get those perfect mid-day shots, (with help from special guest Sean Mark Nipper). Part-2 of the HSS show will go live this coming Wednesday, so make sure you are all caught up before then! And finally, we ended the week on Friday with Joseph demoing a new way to calibrate the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4k, though it's not perfect yet (plus you get to see a view of his broadcast studio not seen very often… a slight behind the scenes).

We hope everyone has a great weekend. You can catch us Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:30am PT for the LIVE Photo Moments.

Let's see what good questions came up in the last couple of weeks... 2:00 - Jan Garcia: does shooting with electronic shutter (opposed to mechanical shutter) influence image quality? 5:07 - Boris D: How to show the AF area display while using AF-C.
I recently did a simple product shoot for a client, Growbabyhealth.com, and narrated the journey for you. You get to see what GH5 Tethering is like, as well as a timelapse of me setting up for the shoot.

Ever wondered how to turn day into night; to use high speed sync (aka high speed flash, aka FP mode) to get dramatic light photos at high noon in the full sun? Check out part one of this two-part show!

I've come up with a new, better way to calibrate the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K attached to the ATEM 2 M/E using the Atomos Ninja Assassin. But it's still not perfect... what am I missing?!
