External Editors for Photos

This is a brilliant piece of coding. It is exactly with what Photos should have come equipped! Yes, you can access certain parts of photo manipulation apps natively through Photos, but you cannot access the whole of an app with all its functions. With the External Editors for Photos app, however, you can access yor other apps in their entirety. Well, I cannot truly say every photo editing app, because I don’t have every photo editing app, but I can truly say that with Serif Photo, the most brilliant of the photo apps, it works like a charm. Once you have manipulated your photograph, you can then “Share” it back to Apple’s Photos app. After I insatalled it (it does its own install into Apple’s Photos app), I could not immediately see that anything had changed. I thought that I might have totally wasted my $0.97. But after I had closed Photos and then re-opened it later, I quickly saw that it was installed, and in a few minutes I understood ho wto use it. In my book, it’s a real step-saver! It’s a beautiful little piece of work.

Brilliant

This is fantastic, and works flawlessly to round trip photos to Photoshop or whatever you want to use. I was despondent over losing Aperture, but to be honest, with over 100,000 photos, Aperture was getting bogged down. Photos handles the large volume better, and now I can get whatever editing capability I want. I had tried to migrate my photos to Lightroom, but the photos ended up mixed up, and all my years of laborious keywording and organization was so messed up I finally gave up and imported the whole gigantic Aperture library into Photos. So at least I was able to find my pictures again, but I was looking at a way to get more editing functionality back and found out that Photos is built to enable third party plug ins, some of which are so great, I will no longer miss Aperture at all. Bless these guys. I now have the best of Apple organization, and Photoshop editing in one place.

Excellent and Simple - just what I needed

Install this handy little plugin and all of your image editors are suddenly available in Mac Photos. Simple and perfect. When you edit your image using this plugin and your favorite image editor, the changes you made are treated as a "revision" and can be backed out later if you want. the original is retained.

I was searching for a new photo editor that functions as a Photos plugin and found this. It solved the problem without having to buy and learn a new graphics editor. I already have a half dozen photo and graphics editors I use for different purposes, and now all of them can be used in Photos.
