Adobe Lightroom's Dehaze tool is quite powerful. Not only can you remove haze, you can add a very realistic haze as well!

For a long time, readers have been asking me to go through the migration process from Aperture to Lightroom. I've ignored these requests, preferring instead to explain alternate options and my recommended way of handling the demise of Aperture. If you've shot in-camera panoramas before with your digital camera, and then tried to find them in Lightroom amongst hundreds or thousands of other photos, you may have had a hard time locating them since Lightroom lacks any kind of pixel-dimension search capability. Fortunately, I found a way!

You've probably seen those cool panoramic images in Facebook where you can not only drag to explore the image, but even tilt and pan your phone to do it. Neat! I really wanted to add a panoramic photo I'd created in Lightroom to Facebook, but it didn't work. It turns out, there's a few things you have to do… and the path to figuring that out was a looooong one.

It turns out that you can make the Folder / Collection etc. column and the Metadata / Develop columns as wide as you want!

Another simple tip, but this keyboard shortcut will speed up your workflow as you're searching and sorting your photos — especially if you're shooting RAW+JPEG.
