Can I download in some other format so things don’t immediately go bad. I have discarded Adobe Reader.

What happens when you view the document directly in Safari?

What are the symptoms you see when it ”immediately becomes corrupted”?

Downloading in Adobe Reader format gives me an document that I can not open. It tells me that it is corrupted. I discarded the Adobe Reader extension from Safari when this happened continually.  I can usually successfully download pdf documents using Preview, but the Applescripts I referred to appear to require Adobe Reader.

Try this:

Right-click on the link above and do “Save Linked File to Downloads”. Then right-click on the newly downloaded file and click “Open With” then choose Preview from the list.

Thanks,

I just removed Adobe Reader and this was first time when I found that I was being ordered to load Adobe Reader, etc. The contextual menu has never been something I think of at first.
