(I recorded this before the holidays but managed to never upload it, sorry!)

Capture One Pro has an extensive Color Tab and is one of the reasons people who love Capture One, do.

The powerful and unique tools found in Capture One Pro are intriguing. If you've ever thought there should be a “different” way to approach color in your photos, this may be the tool you didn't even know you were looking for :-)

Just watched the recorded version of the Color Tabs function.  Have been working with Capture One for a while now; bouncing back to Aperture when I get frustrated.  One thing I have picked up on which is cool and addressed the issue of creating a mask when your are in the Advanced color tab:  your can create a mask based on the selection you have made with eye-dropper by going up to the right corner of the Color editor section, click on the “three white dots” and from that drop down box there is a selection to create a Mask from your selection.  Easier and probably more precise than trying to draw it yourself.  I have used this to boast up the sky color in some of my images [not an original idea, came from Capture One video].

ps  Thanks for the video; I always learn something more when watching an experience person go through complex software.  Also I like the fact that your references are often back to Aperture, and not Lightroom.  Some other training on Capture One that’s out there is OK but they often compare it back to LR which I have never used so it not as useful.

Hi Joseph,

I have just finished going through the four (to date) Live training videos on Capture One Pro. In the one on importing Aperture libraries you did not cover RAW+JPEG pairs or Stacks. Can you go over what happens to them when importing to COP in a future Live training session? Thanks.

Andrew

Hm, I didn't? I thought I used the same setup as I did for the Lightroom migration. OK I'll look into it. I'm actually recording a podcast with Phase One tomorrow and may ask them about it there.

Thanks Joseph. You included an album with RAW+JPEG pairs, but I think you overlooked examining it. Stacks were not mentioned.
