This is a replay of the LIVE show! I go live every Wednesday at 10am Pacific for a show of random chattering and meandering tech. It's a great place to get any lingering questions you have, answered!
This was a special show… I simultaneously streamed the same event to two YouTube shows (which turned into three), so we could compare the quality of the Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro to the Epiphan Pearl-2. In the beginning, the Pearl was way behind and notably darker than the ATEM. However the first discovery was that I had neglected to set the Pearl show to “Ultra Low Latency”, so it was 25-odd seconds behind the ATEM. I shut that stream down and created a new one, and that brought the two streams to within a second of each-other. We then solved the “dark image” problem, which even though it was on the Pearl, turned out to be the fault of the ATEM. To understand why, you'll need to watch part 2 from the Pearl!
