In this episode of TWiP Apps, I welcome a very special guest and long time friend, Kirk Paulsen, from the company DxO. DxO has just released a major update to DxO Optics Pro, now at version 11, and in today’s show we’ll get a close-up look at what’s new and improved in this release.
There was a promotion going on to “Give DxO OpticsPro a Second Look” which was U.S. only, but it appears that this has been extended to all their apps and opened up internationally — and available through December 25th!
This is a simple test of how DxO OpticsPro 10 and its new DxO ClearView tool fares with a very hazy image, and a comparison to assess how best to achieve equivalent or similar anti-haze results with each of each of Aperture, Lightroom and Capture One Pro.
Are you using the new Lightroom; the version that's the same (mostly) on desktop and mobile? Then you may have noticed that a few features are NOT actually on both platforms. The ones that get me the most are Copy Photos (ie duplicate photos) and Batch Paste. I've found a way around it… in a round about sort of way. Check it out!
