I’ve just created a page dedicated to Aperture 3 and Mac OS X Lion notes. It’s not a support page (we already have a place for that), but a place to post Lion-specific observations, quirks, tips, rants, or anything that you feel like sharing.

So, Lion is out. For $29.99 and the easiest OS install ever, it’s gonna be tempting for all of us to click that BUY button. But before you get all click-happy, just a few notes of advice:

ApertureExpert Live Training Session 009 “Adjustments; White Balance and Highlights & Shadows” is now available for download from the catalog!

It’s been a bit of a delay during the move, but I’m happy to say that my studio is 90% set up, and today I just got the sound dampening on the walls… SO that means I’m finally ready to broadcast again!

For those that have written in, I’m sorry about the podcast being offline. Many may not have noticed since I haven’t published a new one in a while, but that’s because I’ve been debating with blip.tv, the former host, on my “show”. Apparently it’s against their terms of service to post promotional material on there, and since I was posting trailers for my Live Training mixed in with the podcasts, I was violating their TOS.

Apple released a small update to Aperture yesterday, bring the current version to 3.1.3. It’s available from Software Update, or for those who purchased on the Mac App Store, you should see it in there under Updates.

Have you ever encountered a situation where if you go into an older project that you haven’t been in for a while, you notice that the thumbnails aren’t quite ready, and even though they draw reasonably quickly, Aperture as a whole seems to slow down for a while?

I’m thrilled to announce the release of a brand new training series for Aperture 3, titled “Work Like a Pro Photographer in Aperture 3”. This has been produced by video2brain, a fantastic company delivering some very innovative online training.

Woohoo! It took a re-recording and a nine-hour upload, but it’s done! The ApertureExpert Live Training Session 008: Adjustments; Exposure and Enhance is finally ready for download.
