Cheers bud!
Where you still feed through to the camera mic input for a backup recording/streaming, get TRS input without an adapter, and lossless recording of up to 4 simultaneous channels at 24bit/96k
And for live streaming I wonder if LiveU Solo might be better than the Vidiu Pro with its feature to bond two LTE modems for double the bandwidth and making it more likely the livestream can work from a tradeshow where usually there is a lot of interference making a stable single LTE signal perhaps unlikely. Would be nice to live-stream into a Google+ Hangout kind of live stream so someone back at the "studio" can take over commenting the live show whenever the live stream disconnects while entering an interference area.
Nice ok I will consider the VidiU bonding service. I wonder if LiveU includes unlimited bonding with the product or if they also sell bonding as a subscription service. And I wonder if there might be any other solutions out there that might cost less than the $1000 for that kind of live streaming box.
I haven't tried YouTube Live yet, does YouTube live have the same feature as Google+ Hangouts with multiple video feeds automatically going to front based on who is talking? I think also that Google+ Hangouts thing could be one way to manage multiple video feeds for a live show, as far as I remember the one who is broadcasting the Hangout Live can click on any video window to bring it to the front even without sound coming from it or re-click to go back to auto for bringing to front the video feed that is talking. Then you could have 1 or 2 people sitting from their home commenting live your live streaming show and if your connection ever drops out, then they can make sure the show goes on until you are able to re-join the live stream.
The VidiU allows bonding as well; up to four cellular, or wired+wifi+cellular. Pretty sweet. It's a monthly paid service though.
G+… interesting idea. I'd be concerned about quality though; in my experience G+ hangouts look like sh** and are extremely susceptible to random feature changes. YouTube does a fine job of holding the show open if I disappear though, and seems to bring me right back, no?
