@Keith Landyn definitely, I've been using Flixzone for months myself :D
pro trick : watch series at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.
I love the idea of wireless talkback, but many of us are already using wireless microphones. Why can't we combine the two? Of the many wireless microphone systems out there, do you know of any that ALSO have a feedback channel. The talent can then have a levelier mic (that is high quality for recording) AND an earpiece (to hear mix minus audio of remote guests or the producer in their ear). Is Saramonic Vlink2 the only set that can do this?
@@photojoseph I understand that this system is for a large crew, but there are many use cases where you have a crew of one. 1) A reporter with cameraman where the reporter needs to hear colleagues in studio and instructions from cameraman. 2) Events with many concurrent sessions and one crew member per room. Those on stage need to hear remote guests (for hybrid panels) and instructions from lone crew member. Is there a good prosumer solution for this that you know of?
So this system is designed for crew, not talent. A talent talkback system is very different and needs to be invisible. And therefore much more expensive. Also not on the same channels as the crew. Like on a news show, the talent has the producer in their ear, not very crew member on set. I’ve not seen the Saramonic but honestly that is a very different approach and I’d not try to combine them into one unit. Talent’s mic needs to have separate control from their ear.
Nice. Looks like a cool setup. Does this support other types of headsets?
The wedding planner wants a headset that is very discrete and "invisible"
If so, any that you would recommend?
It might… I think the packs use a standard jack but you’d have to check.
Can you expand users on this system?
It’s been a while but IIRC, you can tether two of these together.
Hey, are you selling your Hollyland Mars T1000
I have a problem - very quiet sound in the headphones

and there is also a very lacking function so that you can hear yourself
Thanks that was useful information
You’re welcome!
can you power the beltpack with type-c charger or powerbank while using it if it's running low?
Hi @PhotoJoseph do you know how and if the Holland Mars T1000 Tally FX works with the BMD ATEM and GPI Interface? Do you have any solutions for that, is it better to choose an other workaround?
@@photojoseph Thx fo your answer. i order the system Mars t1000 and atem gpi interface and try to connect both, so that i have working tally.
I haven’t a clue, sorry. I’ve not played with Tally lights other than built-in ones on BMD cameras.
We're debating on getting this system, obviously not expecting same quality as the Clear-Com we've been accustomed to (new system build, different org), the biggest feature I'd like to see if possible is if we can add program audio to the device for the beltpacks to hear (at a low level); this can be done with clear-com. Hollyland sells an ethernet to dual 3-pin XLR cable, however there's zero information or documentation anywhere about it or what it does. B&H MFR MODEL: HL-ETHERNET TO XLR CABLE
I saw a german review about a year ago, and the actual sound was much more hissy with a distinct white noise. Didn't hear that on your recording?
oh LOL sorry, I glanced at the title of the video your comment was one and clearly didn't pay attention!! So no, I don't feel like the audio is "hissy". Maybe he had some kind of interference? What you heard in this video sounded quite similar to what I heard when I used it in production in a different location, so I think it's quite good overall.
@@photojoseph I was referring to the sound quality of the Hollyland T10000 intercom headsets? Your audio example seemed relatively clear without any hiss underneath?
You weren't listening to audio from the wireless HDMI. I never have even tried listening to it, to be honest… sorry!
Hey guys, hope you are well. Wanted to find out. Is the push to talk time adjustable by any chance? When going from mute to talk it takes about 3 seconds of holding the button in, and would like to shorten that time. Is there possibly a firmware update to change that?
I know there’s there option to move the mic up to mute but just wanted to check:)
This was an awesome video. Hit all the main points. Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
Any issues with using this with the Hollyland wireless HD camera systems? Is this on 2.4GHZ, 5GHZ or in the radio band 400-500mhz or something else?
That's a great question — I have not used them together, however I'm quite sure that they are on different frequencies. You'll need to look up the specs on their website though.
I could see myself using this with our community theatre. A similar Clear-Comm system is easily 4x the cost of this!
Awesome to hear! Yes, it's certainly cost effective, and in my experience, worked out great!
Can you couple that system with existing wired comm?
You can! Using the 4 wire interface port (the RJ45 plug).
Probably not, although I don’t actually know. Good question for the manufacturer!

Hi, we use Mast T1000 for two years, it’s working fine when we use with headphones, but we have proplems with the RJ45-XLR connection. The director is located on OBVan, we are connecting to mars T1000 with xlr cable. The 4 belt packs can communicate perfect, but the director can hear them very bad quality. When the director talks to 4belt packs is fine. We use original cable. I don’t know what can we change to improve quality.

Balint, I have no idea — the RJ45 connection on the base is for tethering multiple base stations together, as far as I know, so I'm not familiar with the RJ45 to XLR option you're talking about. I've never used it that way. You'll need to reach out to Hollyland for support on this one, sorry!
