SmugMug vs. (or together with) Squarespace. #1

I have a small SmugMug site (http://www.williamcampbellphotography.com) but I'm not selling prints. It's mainly for friends and family. I've been hearing about Squarespace and wondering how well it serves photographers (Aperture users in particular). I've read Joseph's article “From Aperture to SmugMug to Squarespace.”

Would some SmugMug and/or Squarespace users share their thoughts? Have any switched entirely from one to the other? If so, why? Are any of you using both? If so, how and why?

Thanks.

I have both. My Squarespace site is the cheaper version (~$94/yr). I can’t really afford the unlimited site. What I found is that the space limitation on the lower end version was real easy to run into. So now I just use it to embed content from my other sites. I think if you use Squarespace as your only site you’ll probably need the unlimited option which is quite a bit more expensive than Smugmug.

I’ve had smugmug for some years now, it’s good, and I have found it also provided me with a half decent website to display images of my work (camriversigns.com.au)

As far as cloud storage of images, I’m unsure how long I will I will use it since I have recently discovered Everpix as a fantastic way to store my images without the hassle of uploading manually from Aperture to Smugmug.
