While the dates of the images I imported into Aperture are correct in the Info tab, I noticed that in the Finder (I use Referenced Library) the dates on those images upon import were way off. In Aperture they are 6-2-2010, which is correct. In the Finder they are dated 12-31-1969. Do you know why that is? The other images in that same Finder folder are all correct. But a small group of images from one project have that 1969 date.
The Finder displays the file creation date and Aperture uses the EXIF date. They are two different dates for each image. Normally they get set to the same date by whatever captured them. I can’t explain why the file creation date is 1969 other than that seems to be the default date for some devices that get their clocks reset due to power loss or dead batteries.
