I just started working on mine, seems about as good as it was in iPhoto when I did it there a year or so ago.  Mine are all key worded with names, so it is pretty easy for me to setup faces (and redundant).  It thinks random patterns are faces sometimes when matching.  That is about as bad as it gets for me.
