My Camera, a Nikon D80, when using a large memory card, assigned File Names in repeated sequences: for example DSC_001 to 999, and then continued as DSC_ 001(1), etc.  In other words a new series with (1) behind.

Now, when I try to view these photos in Aperture 2.1.4 in other than Browser ie. in Viewer, I get a message saying:  ”Unsupported image form.”

When I try to export any photos with File names in the second sequence with the (1) behind I get the message: “The export operation failed to create an image file for the version identified below.”

I have tried to change the “File name”, but Aperture seems not to allow me to do so.

How do I now access these photos?  They are of travels we are unlikely to repeat.  Please help.
