The Slideshow module in Lightroom is quite impressive, and far beyond what we had in Aperture. You can add multiple text fields, multiple music tracks, auto-time to music and even add a watermark if you're going to export this to send to a client. Lots of really cool options and opportunities to make something great for your friends and family, or enhance your product offerings to your clients. The features we look at include…
- Options panel (zoom, stroke and shadow)
- Layout (and guides)
- Overlays (Identity plate, watermarking, ratings, and the all-important text overlays)
- Backdrop (color, wash or image?)
- Titles (opening and closing)
- Music (did you want one track or two?)
- Playback (auto vs manual, slide length and crossfades, pan and zoom, repeat or randomize)
- Saving templates (presets)
- Exporting as a movie, PDF or JPEGs
