Shutting off Canon software #1

I had to install the canon software onto my MBP that came with my 5DII to upload the peripheral illumination correction data on one of my new lenses. Now when I put my CF card into the reader the Canon Image Viewer loads up rather than Aperture. Is there a by-pass/work around to this or simply delete it or all of the Canon software? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Open aperture, go to preferences and one of the tabs, I think the import tab, has a drop down which specifies the action taken when a camera is connected. Set it to what ever you feel works for you. I set mine to do nothing.

R- Duh, that did it! Problem solved. The Canon Image Viewer when it was installed, change the preference for Import to itself. I chose Aperture and Bingo..it opened when the CF card went into the reader. Thanks for the tip. I didn’t even think to look in Preference first. Cheers.
