I had to do a complete wipe/reinstall on my MBP yesterday (the only way to get rid of all of the crap that Office for Mac leaves behind).
After restoring my Pictures folder (including the Aperture Library), when I opened Aperture, under Projects, all of the Project icons were black. Scrolling over them showed the images as corrupted. When I opened an individual project, all of the images in the browser were black, but the image came up fine in the viewer.
I imported some test files and no problems with those.
Thoughts?
Charles,
Sounds like your thumbnails got corrupted. Select all images in a project and go to the menu Photos > Generate Thumbnails to see if that corrects it. If so, then you’ll want to do that to your entire library. Go to the Photos view, select all, and repeat. This will take some time so you may want to do it overnight.
