Adding levels to Adjustments pane permanently #1

Since upgrading Aperture to 3.3, the adjustments pane has been redesigned and has less options visible as default. I always use levels and whilst I can add this back per photo I cannot find a way of it being present permanently. Can anyone help?

There may be other ideas, but I think you could do this:

Go to a photo, add levels (but don’t change the default settings). Save this as a new effect. Then go to your import window and into your import settings. Select to include this effect. Now, whenever you import photos, it should add this brick to each photo.

I just tested this and it appears to work, but if for some reason this isn’t the right solution, someone please let me know!
