Could someone please tell me why when I look at a file size in Aperture, say for instance 21mb, then I export the file at full resolution, original jpeg , and it turns out at only half the file size? cannot get my head around this yet.Thanks

If you exported the file as a jpeg you would get a smaller size than the 21mp. Try the tiff or psd format to keep all pixels. Jpeg compresses or shrinks the file with some lose of quality. The jpeg setting of 12 is best and largest but still smaller than 21mp. I only send jpegs if the client asks for them to be emailed to them.
