So I tag a face, then head over to the corkboard… Nothing is there, If I go back to the image, the tag for that face is missing. Also the Show Unnamed faces button brings up a blank drawer below the corkboard. Any ideas?

Brandon,

Hm, haven’t seen that before. I’d suggest that you select a project, and select menu Photos > Detect Missing Faces and let it reprocess Faces there, then repeat.

If that doesn’t do it, try a library rebuild. You can export a single project, open that as a new library, try Faces again, assuming it still doesn’t work do the rebuild, and see if that fixes it—that’ll save you sitting through a complete rebuild if your library is large and that doesn’t actually solve the problem.

Nether option worked, Still as soon as I add a face and click done, the tag disappears, and nothing appears in the corkbord.

The Photos > Detect Missing Faces makes it say detecting faces at the bottom but docent actually do anything.

Brandon,

Très bizarre. OK let’s try trashing the Aperture preferences. Delete the plist at ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist

I’m not sure about the tags going missing but you don’t have any search still active in the Cork board view do you? I’ve made that mistake in the past - thought everything was lost but still had some characters in the search box within Cork board view.
