Is there a way to highlight/show the brush strokes you've made in a block? For instance, if I do skin smoothing, sometimes I'd like to ensure that I've covered the entire face if I'm using a brush that's a bit smaller than the entire face.
Is there a way to do this?

Just choose one of the Overlay options from the gear menu in the brush dialog [screenshot].
Try ‘em all out so you can see the differences. These are just views, so if you go back to None you will be back to a normal view.
