I have a plugin that is wiping the camera metadata field when the photo returns from it. I've made TopazLabs aware of this. But is there anyway to edit this field?
You can’t edit it in Aperture but there are 3rd party EXIF editors out there (Google “exif editor”). I don’t have any experience with any so can’t recommend one. Actually go to the App Store first; I kinda think I recall seeing on there, and then at least you know the app has been vetted by Apple.
Once you edit the EXIF data, tell Aperture to re-read metadata (menu: Metadata > Update from master) and this will re-read the metadata back into Aperture.
