I purchased a utility that generates random file names so you can create a slideshow with the files sorted randomly.
When I went to “reimport” them Aperture can't see the new files even though I can see them in Finder. Anyone have any ideas how to reimport them?

When you say Aperture doesn’t see them, do you just mean that they don’t show up in the Import window, as if they aren’t even there? That can happen randomly (some long-standing bug it seems) and usually if you just close and reopen the import window, they show up.
Another possibility is that when you renamed them, you inadvertently removed the .JPG or whatever extension was on them, so now Aperture doesn’t know what they are. If that’s the case, add the three letter extension back on.
