I watched the online training 17. Love your ballistic talking - gotta keep on your toes. I also have downloaded all the videos.
SOooooooo I am working on my places. I seemed to have somehow tagged a bunch of photos into a location that should not be there. How do I untag the photos? And how do I remove the location? Actually, I think I did several things cuz now it has the location and it says “untitled” and there are 28 photos in it but no arrow to see which photos are there. Plus I think when I drug the photos I never assigned a location.
I really want to just start it over. HELP.
Thank you, T
Tina,
Just select all the photos you want to clear and from the gear menu (while in Places view) choose Remove Location: [screenshot]

Is there a way to copy the location information from one photo to paste to others? This was an option in iPhoto, but I can’t find it in Aperture. Thanks!
Lisa:
Simple use the “Lift” Tool - it looks like a pricetag with an arrow pointing up - located at the bottom of the screen. When that window comes up, select the location (GPS Coordinates) (and unselect the other fields), then select the photo you want to copy the location to, and select the “Stamp” button (it looks like a pricetag with an arrow pointing down). That will copy the location to the new photo(s).
Thanks, Tim. This took me a bit because those tools aren’t visible in “Places” view, which is where I was, but I found them eventually. They’re also located under Metadata: Lift Metadata & Adjustments or with the “O” key. Thanks again!
Lisa,
Another option if you’re in Places view is if you’re looking a pin on the map and you want to add more photos to that spot, is to just drag other photos onto the first pin. I think if you click the Move Pins button first, then the pins go purple and when you drag other photos near that pin, they will snap to it. I could be wrong about that though.
Certainly lift and stamp is the most accurate as it will pin the exact coordinates onto the other photos.
