Joseph,
I am creating a photo book with the Modern Lines theme. On multi-picture pages, the black space between pictures is accented with a thin grey accent line. When I re-size some photos this accent line is out of place. In some circumstances I can adjust it but other times I can't. I can't move the horizontal accent line up (or down) if it intersects with a vertical accent line. It appears that the vertical and horizontal accent lines are one entity and I can't move just one of them. Please help. Thanks.
PS - I enjoy listening to you on TWIP when you are on. Great Podcast.
Regards,
Rob
This is one that has been bugging me as well. I found it was all down to the fact the theme is made by apple and not adjustable.
I found the best way to do this is put the lines in manually by editing the layout.
If you find a different way then my hat comes off to you and I will be using that method. Modern lines is my favourite book layout.
Rob & Chris,
the only way to edit those lines is to go into the Layout mode; that’s to be expected. Just like the picture boxes themselves, they are drawn in as part of the design, but still completely moveable.
I think I see the problem though. It took quite a bit of clicking to grab the horizontal line. One click on the vertical selects it, then you can move or delete easily. The horizontal one though I found that I had to double-click to get it, and I had to click it just-so.
I did find it much easier to select if I zoomed in though. So it probably depends on your screen size as well. If you’re on a small screen and viewing the whole page, the that line is sub sub pixel so selecting it is hard. But zoom way in and you can grab it with ease.
I even verified that it works on a four-up layout, where you have a complete intersection of a vertical and horizontal line.

Cheers Joseph.
I have obviously not been zooming in to grab them and just put it down to the fact it was apples design therefore not editable.
that will save me some time.
