Unfortunately, my photography has advanced to the point of needing layers and layer masks to create exposure and focal blending. I do have Nk Complete which does have HDR Efex Pro2, but many times HDR doesn't work well with landscape images.
I do have the free version of OnOne layers and it has functioned well. But on some images I need more masking ability.
So, what are folks experience with the company and their “Suite”? I am at that crossroads of deciding whether I want to venture back to Adobe and their bloatware. The obvious advantage is how powerful Photoshop is and the amazing amount of tutorials.

Take a look at Photoshop Elements. Only $99 and does 98% of what 98% of all photographers need. They just released version 11. It works great as an external editor to Aperture.

Version 10 is available on the Mac App Store. It isn’t yet known whether version 11 will get to the Mac App Store. If you want version 11 for now you need to buy direct from Adobe or from a retailer. You can buy as a download from Adobe. Cheaper solution is Amazon.com which has it for $89.

A cheaper option is Pixelmator (available on the Mac App Store) but it was having issues with Aperture. I don’t know if they’ve fixed that yet.
