I have a real issue, just bought a new macbk pro 15” - plugged my phone in and it created an AE library. The phone and the software updated. The next time I plugged my phone in it said that my library needed to be updated, the only options were to update or not, I updated! Yikes, it deleted all the photos from the previous library! There was no merge option I have seen in other forums. What can I do, some of those photos were business related and I cannot replace them. I searched for the other library and it wont find it. It was a 3.2 library and has updated to a 3.4. Can you direct me to getting back those images? - Thanks, Troy.

Troy,

I’m guessing that you do have another Library there and just aren’t aware of it.

You said you “searched for the other library”, but how? If you open Aperture, then go to the menu File > Switch to Library you may see your other library listed there. If not, select Other/New and then Aperture will scan your drive for any available Library.

Let us know how that goes.
