I was just writing my post about this, but it should be noted that your link shows 3.4.1. I couldn’t find 3.4.2 so here’s a screen shot from App Store. Screen shot

Hi Iain,

I just checked and the link at lease on my end goes to the Apple Website with the Aperture 3.4.2 release information. Not sure why you are getting 3.4.1?

Best,

Stu

Hey Stu,

I SWEAR it listed 3.4.1 as the latest update, but sure enough it is now showing 3.4.2. My mistake, sorry.

I was in the App Store updates a couple of times after seeing this and it would flip-flop between showing 3.4.1 as an available update that had already been installed … to 3.4.2 available for installation. So something isn’t quite right.

That said, Apple has several server sites across the US and around the world … when updates, products and/or services are rolled out they rarely all show up at exactly the same moment … just depends when you hit what server as to what you will see …

In the end, I always wait a day or two and watch the more popular blogs and the Apple Support discussion areas before updating any app or OS, just to make sure there are no major problems that could impact my workflow unnecessarily …

If it makes y’all feel any better, I don’t see it at all in my software update and had to learn about it from facebook ;-)

Some people are having trouble with the update with the app store, though whether the error is the app store, iphoto or safari is an open question right now. The update proper can be found here - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1607
