Instead of 133 images/videos that should have been uploaded from my camera (Canon EOS 7D) to Aperture only 130 images were there but the 3 videos also on the CF Card didn't appear. I've looked in Aperture preferences and there seems to be nowhere I can alter this to be able to upload vidoes to Aperture (as well as the still images which seem to be ok) from my camera
I have Aperture 3.3
Any suggestions anyone?
Thanks
Graham
Do the videos appear in the import preview window?
If not then, while at the import preview window, go to ‘import settings’ at the top right and choose the File Types options and make sure that ‘Exclude videos’ option is not ticked.
Thanks Chris, tried that but still the same, and the videos do not appear in the import preview window.
Thought it might be because they’re mov format but it seems that Aperture will accept this type of video file

I have just come across a weird posting on google about this at aperture 3.0.3
Have a look at the reply at the very bottom:

I have just tried a video as well and can not seem to see it either.
mmmm, this is going to frustrate me.
I can however drag them from the finder in to a project… defeating the purpose of the in built import though.
Sorry Chris but can’t open the link, also my camera is set to PAL Video System…is this the correct one? or should I use NTSC?
Graham
I use PAL.
I can drag and drop from finder in to a project but I can not work out why I can not see the video.
The link has:
The problem was the “RAW+JPEG Pairs” setting in the import panel. Which for me, was not that obvious that it is related to videos files. But if you have your settings as RAW-only the video do not show up in the import view and cannot be imported. But if you choose IMPORT: Both (Separate Masters) you can import movies.
I have tried this but I am not getting any success.
I do not shoot any video, so I have never experienced this until you have mentioned it.
Hi Chris, SUCCESS!!!
Like you I dragged and dropped from finder into Aperture and that worked but then took another movie this morning and downloaded that one using “Both (Use Raw as original)” and this seemed to have worked fine, THANK YOU very much for your time and effort much appreciated
Cheers
Graham

Yep, there’s an old post on this topic in the Tips… A Little “Gottcha” on Importing *only* RAW or JPEG.
