Since updating to 3.4.3 and uploading to flicker, I've noticed online that my personal home address, cell phone number, city, state and zip code is now showing up as “Creator” fields. Before the update, the only Exif information I wanted posted online and it worked was my Creator Name, Creator eMail, Creator URL and Creator phone number (not personal number).

I've spent sometime trying to figure out what's happened here, and have checked and unchecked boxes in Aperture ~ then update Exif info online and nothing is changing.

Please help before I get strange people coming by my house this weekend!

I Finally figured it out ~ the update must have turned on personal contact info in preferences

UPDATE

It looks like most of the IPTC Personal information is an all or nothing system now. In other words, if I only fill in a few fields like “Creator”, Contact Email” and Copyright Notice, then Aperture will post all of my entire personal information online ~ even if your custom made meta data view isn’t showing those fields and even if their empty.

It appears to me that Aperture is pulling this information from my person contact file in the Apple Contact App.

I’m going to try a couple of more things! Also, the way to clear the information is to click “Clear IPCT Metadata” in the from done gear menu on the Info. tab and then repost the image.

So you want different, (less), metadata to appear online than actually resides in the file as it exist’s in your Aperture library ?

How about versioning the images and then using “Batch Change” with a preset too “Clear Fields” on the values you don’t want and then sharing the versions to Flickr ?
