I have been importing photos off my sd card into aperture but recently the photos are imported out of order.
is there a setting to fix this in aperture or is it an sd card problem?
i tried reformatting my sd card but same problem.

Check that the metadata is holds the correct Date & time info?
If so try clicking on the sort by date option.

Where are things out of order? Import Window? Browser for project after import?
You cannot change the sort order in the import window, but in the browser you can sort different ways using the pop-up menu in the upper left corner of the browser.
