I manage my files as referenced but I believe that there are some photos not referenced from my Aperture library. I guess you can call them orphans. I'm wondering what's the easiest way to locate them?
I did a quick search but I get post on referenced vs managed or some other topics.

You can do this with a filter or smart album. From the Rule pull down, select File Status. One of the options is “Managed”. I have an example on my blog.
