I have thousands of pics on my iPhone 4s and no more space :p so I would like to delete some… just curious/nervous if when I do this if they will also be deleted from my photo stream EVENTS in aperture?

Short answer: No.

Explanation:
When you take a photo with your iPhone, the photo gets stored in the camera roll. If Photo Stream is enabled, it gets marked for upload. The next time you connect to WiFi it will upload to Photo Stream.

When you next open Aperture, it will synchronize Photo Stream to Aperture.

If you have automatic import enabled for Photo Stream in Aperture (the default), Aperture will automatically copy all new Photo Stream photos to a monthly project it creates (named like Month Year Photo Stream). These are actually copies of the images from Photo Stream. If you then delete them from Photo Stream, they will remain in the monthly project.

If you delete photos from your camera roll after the above steps have occurred, they will remain in the Photo Stream. They will only get deleted from Photo Stream if you manually delete them or if you exceed the 1000 photo limit or 30 day time limit which will cause the oldest photos to get deleted.

Even if they get deleted from Photo Stream (either automatically or manually as above), they will still be in your monthly project as long as you had that automatic import enabled (the default setting).

And don’t forget to backup your library regularly in case the unexpected happens.

This is easy to delete Photos from your iPhone 4s.
This works in all versions of Mac OS X:
1.Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
2.Launch Image Capture from the /Applications/ folder
3.Hit Command+A to Select All pictures within Image Capture, then with all images selected click the red (\) button to delete all photos
4.Confirm deletion when asked and be prepared to wait

This should work in all versions of Windows:
1.Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
2.Open “My Computer” and choose “Apple iPhone”
3.Open to folders “Internal Storage” and then open “DCIM”, contained within will be a folder containing all photos and videos on the iPhone
4.From the folder containing the pictures, select all, then delete
