Library help #1

Hello
I want to create a library on my external hard drive. when i click create and select external drive. it says Library could not be crated because the file system of the destination volume is not supported.
New
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
current external drive format: MS-Dos (fat 32)

Aperture libraries must be stored on drives formatted as MacOS Extended (journaled). fat 32 will not work.

If the drive is otherwise empty, open disk utility and reformat the drive. If you have other data on it, you must copy it to another drive before formatting or it will be lost.

Ralph: it’s like Thomas said. Disk utility is your friend in this matter.

Ralph,

You can still use the Mac formatted disk with Windows if you get a utility for Windows to read Mac disks. MacDrive is one example. I haven’t used it.
