jpeg previews look better than raw images in aperture 3.32 #1

As the file were importing to Aperure 3.32, I saw the jpeg previews and liked the way they looked. When I clicked on an image, it got grainy and darker and didn't look as good. I'm thinking that I need to do some post-processing or raw fine tuning.

I tried, but can't get the pictures to look better!

Help!

I think this is a case where your camera settings are effecting the first thumbnail generation. On Canon there are presets that boost brightness contrast and Saturation, etc. Set all those settings to Zero on the camera preferences and retest the import. Lots on people here on ApertureExpert have mentioned that so search the sight for other answers if I didnt help.
Cheers
