Been messing with the “lift and stamp” tip to remove sensor spots ( as per training vid). Works well, until I “stamp” the adjustments to the original. The stamps are placed elsewhere on the original.
The original is cropped, level adjusted etc. sent to plug in, sensor spots identified, re-imported back to aperture, “repaired”, adjustments lifted..stamped back to original, stamp puts adjustments somehwre else. Any ideas whats up? Aperture 3.3.2/Nik Silver Efex Pro 2..thanks
I think I understand what you are saying. Try cropping your original and sending it to any Nik plug-in or PS (just to bake the crop in) and save it. Then make a new version of that one. Then use your original TIFF you just made to do your repairs on and lift them from that and stamp them on the copy (new version) you made.
I didn’t try it myself, just thinking it through in my head. Maybe that will work.

Seem to have resolved/discovered correct workflow for retouching spots.
To identify the spots, dont make *any* adjustments in aperture before sending to plugin. Send to plugin first, tease out the sensor spots, render back to Aperture. Retouch with Aperture tool. Stamp adjustments to original. Then perform other adjustments such as crop, tilt, levels etc. Then re-send to plug-in if thats what youre after ( not just spot identification/removal)

I think the problem is that you’re trying to stamp on an image that’s already been round tripped — that is, sent to a plugin and back again.
A that point it’s no longer the original. It’s a copy and if cropped or straightened, will have different dimensions than the original.
You can lift and stamp things like retouching and have it align properly at any point in the worlkflow BEFORE sending it to another app.
