As of Live Training 021, we've pretty much covered Aperture top to bottom, so I'm definitely open to suggestions for the next round of classes. What do you want to see? Start to finish photo editing? Plugin tutorials? 32rd party apps? Chime in here, please!

How about something to do with Pixlemator if you downloaded it already. It would be great to see some work flow with that or training… Possibly going over Zenfolio if you have had time to review that. Thanks…
Use of more add-ins from Nik Software or Topaz et al. Alternatively, maybe you could do a webinar by theme: e.g. travel pix or portraits or kids. You could help us recognize how you plan, shoot, organize, process and adjust the photos to get a great finished product.

I concur with Mike that a Pixelmator session would be very helpful as I imagine quite a few people may have recently downloaded it given its reduced price.
Perhaps you could do a training feature on what to do when you want to improve your organization but you have never set up a good system. In my case I inadvertently imported most of my iPhoto library in without knowing what to do to establish any organization. Now that I’ve seen some of the live training I realize that many users may be just like me.

I think an update on changes in Aperture workflow and functions since Version 3.3 and Mountain Lion would be in order..

How about covering topics/subjects using Aperture tools to obtain certain results in particular images. For example, how to bring back or make the clouds pop ~ obtaining different results with water. Just things in general that would require past Aperture Expert knowledge. Just a thought
How to integrate iOS pics into your main collection. I’d rather have them integrated totally, but what about Photostream, Dropbox… Address naming conventions a la the Joseph beans-2012-08-11_IMG0344… file name style.

Mike Boening & Carl Baruer “Pixelmator” — yes, I definitely will, once I have some time with it myself. I haven’t even launched it since downloading!
Mike “Zenfolio” — yeah, <<sheepish shrug>> that was a priority until Aperture 3.3 came out and then I ran off for three weeks and then Mountain Lion came out. It’ll happen, promise! And sure I can do a Live Training on that once I write the review, good idea.
GD Rothenberg “Nik Software” or “Topaz” — I love Nik and use ‘em daily. I actually did a Live Training on Nik’s site, which you can watch for free here. I also recorded a “Creative Nik” session for video2brain that is currently being edited. Can’t wait to see that one out. I’ve never used Topaz filters before, to be honest. No particular reason except that I started working with Nik stuff back when I was at Apple and they did their first plugins, and I really love their stuff. I could check out Topaz but will be starting from scratch.
Jeff Fisher “Organization” — interesting topic. I have helped many people with this through my One to One consulting, as it’s very very individual, but yeah I think I could do a session on “cleaning up your Aperture library”. Thanks for the idea.
Keith Merrick “Aperture 3.3 updates” — I actually did one, check out Session 021. I intend to do an eBook and also an updated video training course on that, to show “what’s new/different”. It’ll be a smaller cheaper book and video for obvious reasons, but that’s the next thing on my list.
Seshat “particular image treatment” — yeah I like that too. What do you think; should I have people send me their images to treat, or just treat my own? I know people like watching others approach to image treatment, so maybe seeing images that aren’t mine would be more interesting? Waddaya think?
Bonnie “iOS integration” — honestly for my iOS photos, I let Photo Stream handle that entirely, and the only change I make is to rename the automatically created projects to “YYYY-MM Photo Stream” and put them all in a “Photo Stream” folder [screenshot]. Even after renaming, Photo Stream still tracks and puts them in the right place (see article: “Did You Know… You Can Move and Rename Your Photo Stream Projects”). I don’t rename the masers at all, but I do relocate all Originals once every few months just to get them out of my Library.

Several thoughts –
More technique themed shows that ties various previous trainings together.
For example, how to get a series of images looking similar look. Say a set of wedding images shot under varying lighting conditions. How to get them to appear more consistently visually.
Some real-world examples of image retouching. Thomas Boyd’s efforts in previous videos is especially helpful, and I’d really like to see your take on the same subject, especially since its more personal choice.
That brings me to the next step. I think of the set of tutorials out there now are like a dictionary, defining each element and showing how it works. Now I want grammar and usage, how to take a set of images and make them work as a set of prints on the wall or in a book. I may be repeating myself here, but I think what I’m suggesting is some work with a set of images that are destined to work together to tell a story.
