Since going to v. 3.5.1 I am no longer able to brush at sizes larger than 200 pixels.  I googled this before asking and found the *ususal* answer is you must uncheck the “detect edges” option to get larger sizes.  I have unchecked this option, but still cannot get a brush size larger than 200.  Anyone else notice this?

Haven’t noticed that.

I noticed as well … unchecking detect edges and you can get very large brush sizes … re-check detect edges … and the brush size will drop to 200 …

Never noticed this behavior before 3.5.1 …

Actually, Butch, that is the expected behavior.  Trouble is, when I uncheck the box, I’m *still* limited to 200 pixels.  But now two people are saying they do not have my issue, so maybe it’s something with my specific machine.

I have found the retouch brush  does not to go beyond 200 with either detect edge on or off.  However the skin smoothing  and Dodge and burn brushes do go larger.   What I don’t know is,  if that is normal for the Retouch brush.  Please enlighten me.  dbm

OK, I think I solved it!  I had used a check to limit the effect to shadow areas.  When I changed it to affect ALL areas, I could get > 200 pixel sized brushes again.
