I just moved to a referenced library a few weeks ago. I noticed when I use a plugin such as Nik, the saved TIFF saves in the managed Aperture library. Is there a way for the saved file from the plugin to save to the referenced folder on the external drive?
Search the forums. I seem to recall this being discussed recently. Unfortunately I do not recall the answer. Albeit more effort, you can always relocate the “managed” plugin output to your external drive. I also suggest you use the Aperture Feedback option under the Aperture menu to suggest that Apple change this behavior, maybe make it selectable.
