Hello everyone, I am new to The Photos Form and wondering if and when Apple plans to add Aperture support for the new Nikon D750.

Thanks for any comment

Well, you’re in luck. Digital RAW Compatibility Update 6.01 was just released, and includes D750 support. Check your software updates.

Hello Jim

Thanks very much for your timely response.  I just downloaded Version6.01, and now I intend to order the D750.

It seems the RAW Compatibility Update 6.01 supporting the new Nikon D750 requires

  • OS X 10.10 (iPhoto 9.6 oder Aperture 3.6)

.. meaning :

a) I would have to update to Yosemite, right?

b) I would have to update to Aperture 3.6 (investing another 69,99 EUR for a software that is going to run out of support… ;-(

I’m still on OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks) and Aperture 3.5.1. Thanks for any comment.

Best regards

Michael

Yosemite & Aperture are both free up-grades.

I have downloaded the new upgrade for the D750, however I am in the process or ordering the D750.  In the meantime Yosemite v10.10 works well with well with Aperture and my D610.

“Yosemite & Aperture are both free up-grades.”

Maybe that varies from country to country (?). App Store displays “Price: 69,99 EUR”. Can it be that changes, once I have upgraded to Yosemite?

Many complaints in the reviews… Moreover, a problem to run the Nik-Software-Collection is reported. In the reported case it does not seem to run after update.

Any experience with regard to installed NIK-Plugins?
