Just watched it. Most extensive look at it I’ve found online. You need to be a member.

Check out the course ‘Photos for Mac First Look’ on lynda.com.

I’m not a lynda.com member at the moment so I can’t watch this. Can someone please tell me if it’ll be easy to transfer a Managed Aperture Library to the new Photos App? I’m definitely going to use it as I don’t need anything more powerful. Aperture has been overkill for me as a hobbyist mostly shooting iPhone photos now. I only moved from iPhoto to Aperture because it handled my 100,000+ images better than iPhoto did. I’ve loved the organizational aspect of Aperture, but rarely used the editing tools. Anyway, I’m hoping transitioning to Photos won’t be too difficult.

Oh, and I’m also wondering if Photos will have a Flickr uploader built in? I use that all the time to get my photos to my Flickr acct. TIA!

Hi Debbie,

I forgot to mention you can get a free trial that lasts more than long enough to watch the course I mentioned above. Just use this link compliments of Joseph, this site’s owner.

Normally it’s a 7 day trial but when I just tried it, it stated 10 days. You may need to give a credit card to sign up but you can cancel before you are charged at the end of the trial.

Hi Thomas!

Thank you for the link. I’ll try it, but I’m not sure it’ll work as I’ve already been a member for many years, and I just activate it for a month here and there as needed. I just finished In January a one month half price deal I was offered. I wish this course had been there during that month. Maybe if I sign up with a different email address I can get the free trial. I’ll see. Hopefully the answers I’m seeking will be addressed in this course.
