Hi, I just realized when I exported Versions of photos from Aperture to Finder Folders it changed the dates to the date I did the export. Is it possible to maintain original dates when exporting? TIA!
Thanks for your reply! All of the photos are showing the creation date and modified date as the same date, which is the date I exported the photos to Finder. So, that’s not good. But, I’ll try your other suggestion about exporting to see if that’s helpful. I’m really surprised that the original date doesn’t export with a version. I’m wondering if exporting the originals will maintain the creation date? I guess I’ll do a test.

Hi Debbie
I don’t think there is because that’s the way the file system works, but a couple of workarounds:
- the date created in the metadata is still the date shot so if the file is gong into another photo-type application it should read that
- if you export using the image date and time as the filename that may achieve what you want.
