I recently digitized several thousand slides from the 1960’s and 1970’s. They are currently in Aperture folders with the appropriate year and activity, e.g., 1967-07 Montreal Expo. However, the EXIF data refers to the date of digitization which was just a few months ago. Are there any issues with trying to keep 1967 vintage pictures separate from current pictures when migrating to Photos? Any other issues/problems that others have encountered?
If the dates are know for those old digitised pictures I would take the time to set the correct date to the photo. Can be done in Aperture as well as OSX Photos.
This will help with Smart Folders, the Year View et cetera.
