Joseph,

Why do you have this forum set to perform password expiration?   It is a hassle, and not really welcome, at least by me.  Maybe I am missing a user controlled setting.  If so, please advise.  Else, please shut it off.

For the general readership… I do strongly suggest good password management.   At a minimum, use unique passwords for ever site.   I suggest autogenerated passwords from a strong password manager.  I personally use 1Password.

Passwords expire for the entire site (not just the forums; you wouldn't want multiple logins for the site) due to PCI Compliance. Because we accept credit cards, we are required to follow a very strict password policy. If we don't, we lose our ability to take payments. I know it's a hassle but we don't have a choice. Sorry.

I have dozens of sites where I pay by credit card, and have stored credit card information.    Why is PCI Compliance unique for your site?
