Aperture thinks some managed images are referenced #1

Hi,

I have about 6,000 managed images that Aperture thinks are referenced. When I go to the Aperture library and show package contents, I can locate the masters in the finder within the library. But when I go to File/Locate Referenced Files in Aperture, I can’t drill down into the library to reconnect them.

I’ve tried repairing Aperture library permissions and database in addition to rebuilding the database.

Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Brad

Brad,

That’s very odd. I’m assuming that you’re saying Aperture thinks the images are referenced because they have the curved arrow indicating referenced files? What happens if you select an image and choose menu File > Show in Finder; what is revealed (if anything)?

Are you having any problems exporting or editing the images, or anything else?

Another way to clean up the library could be to try importing it into another library. Create a new (empty) library, and drag the problem library into it. It’ll just merge the two libraries; that might clear up some database problems, too.
