I’m looking to move from Aperture 3.6 to, probably, LR5. In my quest I am trying to tools: One, the import utility in LR5 and the other, ApertureExporter.
My question, both of these tools suggest my Aperture library has 55k images, yet my Aperture library indicates 47K images and in the image search field the term Showing All appears.
Can anyone provide a possible explanation?
It is possible that they are taking into account alterations made to images and treating them as additions and therefore needs to create them as well. Remember this is certainly better than being a lesser number!

Do you have any photos in the Aperture trash? If so, I wonder if it’s counting those.

Have you checked to be sure all stacks are open and all rejects have been deleted.
