I've been trying to solve the problem with matching what I see on my iMac to what is printed. I've calibrated my monitor and downloaded the applicable color profile for Costco, but still find that the complexion of my subjects have a grey tone and the overall color is flat. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you’ve done your homework with calibrating and getting the profile. I think Charles’ point is key, since it bit me in the past, i.e. convert your file to sRGB on export (if it’s Adobe RGB). Let us know how this works.

Any update on converting to sRGB on export?

Make sure that you’re saving the images with an sRGB color space and not Adobe RGB (or something else). Also, check to see if Costco has a color profile you can download for soft-proofing.
