Hi Guys,

I am trying to edit some shortcuts using command editor, on my iMac no problem, however on my Macbook air when I click the customize menu item in Aperture 3.3, nothing happens?

Any ideas…

Regards

Richard

Hi Joseph,

Already tried the new user/group and still the same, I have an appointment with an Apple Genius today, let’s see what they come up with!

The Command Editor definitely should be showing up…. Have you tried dragging the Aperture window around to make sure it didm’t pop up behind it? (This certainly isn’t correct behavior, but could be possible)

If that doesn’t work - have you tried restarting both your Mac and Aperture?

Hi!

Tried that, no joy… I have now tried deleting Aperture, reinstalled the 3.1 trial, still not working, done the upgrade to 3.3… Still no command editor???

Perhaps it’s an MacBook air issue, willhave to try and contact Apple…

Richard,

I use the Air and it’s no problem here.

Look in the ~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/ folder and if it exists, trash the Command Sets folder. [screenshot]

If that doesn’t exist, trash the preferences. Check the FAQ for instructions if you don’t know where that is.

Hi Joseph,

Just tried all that… same situation, thanks for the advice :)

Spoke to apple and they are now saying only option is to format the HDD and reinstall everything!

Think I will learn to live without it and just create them on my iMac and import the command sets…

Appreciate the advice

Richard

Richard,

Sounds like BS advice to me.

Create a new user account, and a new library in that and see if you have the same problem.
