Since V3.4.1 Aperture re-generates all thumbnails. Why? and… Didn't we have this in an earlier release? As far as i can decide, the process starts at the beginning after each start of aperture. It's now running over 24 hours for 42000 thumbs.

I didn’t notice that after my upgrade, so I can’t say why it’s happened to you… could be as simple as Aperture detected a glitch in the matrix and decided it needed to rebuild thumbnails.
